When you first got your iPhone/iPad/iPod it was clean, with no bloatware whatsoever and it was the spotlight among your friends. Most iPhone users reported that after at least half a year of use their phone slowed down by a long margin and is not functioning properly anymore. Applications these days are trying to leave as much cache files in your phone as possible, so even if you delete a certain app some will have already left some useless data files that fill up your phone and slow it down. Those specific files are there because an application is set to make a folder for itself, to be able to operate properly. Most applications are then deleted but not programmed by the developer to delete the data that they came with as well. Those files are then left unused and they serve no purpose to the user. It's important that you clean cache files every now and then, but it can become tedious to do it daily, so that's why I'm going to teach you how to clear the data that your iPhone is not using anymore. It is a very simple and painless way to speed up your "pocket PC" and I can assure you that it's going to feel like a brand new device after those steps:
I'm going to showcase the method that I use the most to maintain my iPhone in good condition and it's probably the best way out there. You can do this on every iOS device currently available, but you need to be connected to the internet. Make sure you do that before starting.
The first step is to open the App Store and search for an application called "Battery Doctor" (this can also boost your battery life, but we're not here for this). Download it and let it install. Here is a link for easier access:
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/battery ... 51279?mt=8Secondly, we're going to open the application. It is very lightweight and you should keep it on your phone in case you may need to clean your device up in the future. There should be a tab called "Junk" that will show you the temporary files your iPhone accumulated over the course of its lifespan.
*IMPORTANT*: Battery Doctor will not provide you with the junk files for every specific app, but instead it will give you a total of all of them. You should delete the files that this application recommends, your games and programs will not malfunction in any way.
After that you need to tap on the SCAN button. This button is going to search throughout your device for unwanted or temporary files. It's going to take a while, so you should leave your phone for a little bit while this process is taking place. The operation should be done in about 5 minutes or so, depending on how much data your phone holds currently. Once the process is done it will delete all junk files from all the apps.
Your phone should feel fresh and ready to work now! Enjoy!
