I never surprised about the inclination of the human being afraid of the future, it fascinates me. I also understand that fear is what defines us as humans because having fear is necessary. It's a defense mechanism that helps us avoid doing stupid things. But there are also fears that seem completely unnecessary, until I would say that most of the fears about the future that we are not only very real and prevents us from doing things and live the life of dreams.
Among the most common fears are, success, failure, not being able to do things to perfection, not having enough money and rejection. I would say these are the most common fears and I am sure you have some of the above like not being able to do things perfectly or not enough. People do have it. The fear is completely natural but allowing fear prevents us in following our dreams is a tragedy. The good thing is a fear that can be overcome.
1. The first step is admitting you have fears. You know they exist, so admit the sufferings.
2. To follow, says fear. What are your fears and what is your main fear? Help them to get out of the depths of your mind where they hide to frighten you. By aiming them, you put yourself in control because they exist inside you but now also outside - you have externalized them.
3. Examine your fear. You have admitted it but that does not mean you are not scared anymore. It is highly probable that you even feel ashamed of your fears. Never worry, it is quite normal. The truth is that you are not alone. Many people have had the same fears as you are. Even some fantastic people like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett had fears, the same fears as you are.
4. Nothing is wrong with being afraid. It is not that much. Fear is part of you, but do not control.
5. The best thing you can ask is what is the worst that can happen? Are you afraid to try a new career? What would happen if you changed jobs?
6. The trick to combat your fears is simply jump into doing things. The numbers of opportunities you lose for succumbing to your fears are many. To confront your fears you have to practice. That is, try, try and try until it works, if you want to change careers investigate what skills and vital habits are needed, make a plan and implement that plan.
7. The last thing you can try to overcome your fears is to exist in the now. Exist at this time. Almost all fears are projected into the future. We worry about things that can happen. Better to decide not to think about the future or the past because there is really only the now. Try to do something now to get your dream life and do not think about possible failures. When you realize that you are thinking about the future, focus on the now, at this moment, on the task you have on hand.
