I have done many small gigs as a freelance writer. Though I did not worked on high priced projects. It makes you wonder how hard it is to manage such career. Most of the online writing require you to use computer. And you need to own this all the time. So having lease or rented won't cut it. Because you may get the device on random time. You need device that can function well. Because you don't have to miss on the appointment. And in the due process it would surely cost you alot. I am not sure there are any freelancer writer who works with temporary or leased computer, because that would not help much.
Internet
You need to have better internet connection. Having connection that can barely connects will stop you from working online. And that's not a good way for you to work either. I suggest starting with a good broadband. And then decide where you can go ahead with the work. Make sure you have reliable always online connection. You can see that it can take care of lot of things in the process. I think internet can help a lot on those points when it comes to interrupted options.
Backup
Sometimes you have to store your work. And computer can fail. So you need online cloud backup. This feature will save you lot of time and money. For example each of that article you can sync with the online services. Some of the known online services are like say google drive, dropbox etc. And they can surely make some good option for backing up your content. I have used it on many occasions. But not sure how it is going to pan out though.
Networking
You will find many online opportunities than online. So you can see that networking is not going to be easy. You have to be active on LinkedIn and other similar sites. You have to bid for the 10 jobs and you get like 2 approval. So this rate in itself can be increased as you handle more clients. And make them refer to others. This is how many people are gaining more traction. And that is what you should do as well.
These are some of the good points that you can do when it comes to freelance writing. You'd do better this way if you are spending enough resources on things to improve your freelancer writing career.
