Get A Little "Retail Therapy"

Postby Spontaneo » 01 May 2024, 15:57

Feeling a little down in the dumps? Have yourself a little “retail therapy”!

What is one way to do this? Browse through a website called Poshmark.com!

What can you do? You can make an offer on an item. You can decline a counteroffer on an item. You can accept an offer on an item. You can even sell your own personal goods!

Items can be used, however, in good condition.

New items can be sold too.

People on the Poshmark website call themselves “Poshers”!

I have personally bought myself clothing and shoes, such as Reeboks, Levi’s, Lauren, etc. All good name-brands and total bargains!

Now there are “snooty” people out there. Many years ago, a former roommate wanted a Keurig in the worst way. So, I bought her a Keurig off of Poshmark. When the Keurig arrived, she said, “Oh, the Keurig is used” instead of “thank you”. My feelings were so hurt.

Then, there are hard-to-find items on the Poshmark website. For example, I studied at a difficult-to-find university called Duquesne University. Guess what I just happened to find? I found a Duquesne University baseball hat which is a prize possession for myself.

Also, if you want something in a store but cannot afford, browse Poshmark! For example, I really like Jordan’s Skinny Mixes and the Jordan’s Skinny Mixes website. They sell zillions of flavors to have in your drinks, such as water, cocktails, coffee, iced tea, lemonade, etc. with the syrups containing 0 calories 0 sugar and 0 carbs. But the syrups are astronomical in cost. So, what to do in this predicament? Go poshing!

I have all nice things to say about Poshmark. I have not heard any bad comments about Poshmark either.

Yes, taxes and shipping need to be taken into consideration. In a rounded off way, about $9.00 (US currency) to $10.00 (US currency). Even so, you are getting a bargain! Just glance at what you want and estimate.

You do need to have atleast one photo of your item if you are selling the item. This is common sense.

There is one option that I do not understand and that are Posh Parties. Maybe you can figure out how to do so and tell how to do in an article. I would like to know!

Now, how is that for “retail therapy”? I hope that you have much luck and success!

Looks like a nice idea and something exciting to discover.
It might not be applicable for me as it is a US based site, so If I order something from India, it would mean extra shipping charges.

Retail therapy, often seen as a mood-lifter, involves shopping to improve one's emotional state. It's a form of self-care where the act of purchasing provides a temporary sense of euphoria and control. While it can be a harmless pick-me-up, it's crucial to practice moderation to avoid compulsive buying habits. Healthy retail therapy should be a conscious, controlled activity that brings joy without financial strain. It's about making mindful choices that contribute to well-being, rather than impulsive decisions that lead to buyer's remorse. The key is balance and intentionality in your shopping endeavors.

I am excited. As a few weeks ago, my cellular phone fell on concrete floor and shattered. I am now using a cellular phone that I had been saving for such an occasion.

I see many people with protectors on their cellular phones. I simply never took enough moments to buy a protector.

My roommate's cellular protector cost $50. Way out of my league.

I was with a friend a couple days ago who is always ordering stuff on Amazon. I asked her to look up a protector for myself. I picked out a rose gold color for guess how much? $9.00! That's what I am talking about!

I can't wait!

I am not ashamed to tell you this, but my roommate and I receive donated food every month. Yes, we have money for groceries but we are still eligible. We are not exactly upper class.

When the groceries are delivered, it is like Christmas! As I place the groceries away, I think of all kinds of recipes. Kind-of like a kid in a candy store!

We are anything but malnourished and I am so grateful.

I never did find a winter coat by the way...

However...

Last week I was on Poshmark.com looking for a lot on granny blue jeans. You know, ladies blue jeans with an elastic waist.

One seller had a lot of 3 granny blue jeans for $45 and $10 tax, shipping/handling.

Guess what? I talked her down to $10 and $10 tax, shipping/handling.

Guess what? She accepted!

I checked the tracking earlier and the granny blue jeans are out for delivery! I cannot wait!

I received the granny pants in the mail! Yay! I love them!

There is a form of retail therapy for myself called "groceries"! I receive 2 shipments of donated food every month which is like Christmas.

I do go grocery shopping with my roommate, but she can be so mean and not allow myself what I need.

When I receive donated food, there is so much that I need and use. I can cook up fantastic meals for a month!

Starting today, we are going to sit down at the kitchen table and make up a better shopping list. We usually do, but when we get to the stores' parking lot, we think of other things to buy. So, with this new system, we are going to write down every little item that we need and not go over our list.

This morning, I have done a little "retail therapy" out of my own closet!

Recently, I have taken a break from wearing leggings and have been granny pants.

I just got out today's outfit and feel like wearing purple floral leggings with a purple t-shirt underneath a purple sweatshirt. My t-shirt shows a woman with a ton of make-up on with the statement "Women Are Phenomenal". LOL

I guess that I need to wear make-up? LOL ;) ;)

Retail therapy on Poshmark is a great way to ease the pain of buying expensive clothes. You can offer your own clever deals and get great deals on the street.
