7 bestno added sugar drinks

Postby sweerie_banana » 07 Aug 2024, 07:54

Finding refreshing beverages that are both delicious and free of added sugars can be a delightful challenge. Whether you're cutting back on sugar for health reasons or simply looking for healthier drink options, here are seven great choices to quench your thirst without compromising on taste.

### 1.Infused Water

Infused water is a fantastic way to add flavor to your hydration routine without any added sugars. By adding slices of fruits, vegetables, or herbs to your water, you can create a variety of refreshing flavors. Popular combinations include cucumber and mint, lemon and lime, or strawberry and basil. The best part? You can mix and match ingredients to suit your taste preferences.

### 2. Herbal Teas

Herbal teas are naturally free of sugar and come in a wide range of flavors. Whether you prefer the calming effects of chamomile, the zesty kick of peppermint, or the fruity notes of hibiscus, there's an herbal tea for everyone. These teas can be enjoyed hot or iced, making them a versatile option for any season.

### 3. Coconut Water

Coconut water is not only hydrating but also naturally sweet without any added sugars. It's a great alternative to sugary sports drinks, offering essential electrolytes like potassium and magnesium. Look for brands that have no added sugars or flavors to ensure you're getting the purest form.

### 4. Sparkling Water

For those who love the fizz of soda but want to avoid the sugar, sparkling water is an excellent choice. There are numerous flavored varieties available, from lime to black cherry, that provide a refreshing and bubbly experience. Just be sure to check the label to ensure there are no added sugars or artificial sweeteners.

### 5. Green Tea

Green tea is another healthy beverage that's naturally free of added sugars. It contains antioxidants and can be enjoyed either hot or cold. For a bit of variety, you can add a slice of lemon or a few fresh mint leaves. Green tea also provides a gentle caffeine boost, making it a good alternative to sugary coffee drinks.

### 6. Vegetable Juice

While fruit juices often contain high amounts of natural sugars, vegetable juices can be a great sugar-free alternative. Juices made from vegetables like tomatoes, carrots, and celery are nutrient-rich and can be quite tasty. Just make sure to choose options without added salt or sugar.

### 7. Kombucha

Kombucha is a fermented tea beverage that has gained popularity for its potential health benefits and unique taste. While some store-bought kombuchas can contain added sugars, many brands offer versions with no added sugar. The natural fermentation process gives kombucha its slightly tangy flavor and natural fizziness, making it a fun and healthy drink option.

These seven beverages provide a variety of flavors and health benefits without the need for added sugars. By incorporating them into your daily routine, you can stay hydrated and enjoy delicious drinks without the extra calories and sugar. Cheers to healthier sipping!

Thanks for those suggestions sweerie_banana, they do sound like great alternatives to sugary drinks. Vegetable Juice doesn't sound very tasty to me, are there any that you would recommend for their taste?

I drink diet Arnold Palmers (homemade). How do I prepare the drink? I mix unsweetened black tea with true lemon, a crystallized water enhancer made from real lemons, which come in packets. Some proceeds of the water enhancer go to feed the hungry.

Beetroot and Apple Juice:
Beetroot has a slightly sweet and earthy flavor, which pairs wonderfully with the crisp sweetness of apple. It's vibrant in color and rich in nutrients.

Vegetable juice tastes like bloody Mary's to myself. I do not like bloody Mary's. Kind-of like orange juice but just the opposite effect. I love orange juice with pulp but makes myself crave vodka.

I love beetroot and apple! Sometimes I put beetroot in my smoothies. It gives them a nice colour as well.

Carrot juice is another good one.

This week, I bought sparkling water and green tea bags.

I usually buy black tea bags at Dollar Tree every week, but last week and this week the shelf was empty and Dollar Tree only had tons of green tea bags.

I love my sparkling water but with only one pet peeve... not carbonated.

I just cannot get myself to like herbal tea.

I think that my mind senses the fact that there is no caffeine.

Infused water brings a fresh taste without sugar. If you mix fruits, vegetables or herbs like cucumber, mint or strawberry basil, you get a different flavor. The body stays hydrated and refreshed. Every sip becomes a very sweet and natural experience.
