Sparkling Water 101

Postby Spontaneo » 13 Sep 2024, 09:44

Sparkling water has many benefits. My favorite sparkling water benefits are for weight loss management and for the taste.

Instead of going to grab that can of Coca-Cola, which by the way is very, very bad for you, have a can of sparkling water.

Do you want to devour that family size bag of potato chips? Have a can of sparkling water,

Sparkling water makes you feel full. Have a sparkling water with meals so as to curb your appetite.

Sparkling water removes toxins from the body. Sparkling water is much better than Herbal Slimming Tea which is made with senna and tastes awful. When I used to drink such tea, I had to hold my nose so as not to taste.

A few examples of sparkling water include:

1. LaCroix

Tasted good, but made myself feel yucky after drinking a can. So, I did not finish.

2. Waterloo

My absolute favorite! Right now, I am having a Cherry Limeade! 0 sugar. 0 calories. This sparkling water tastes delicious and quenches thirst!

3. Clear American

My favorite flavor is Pineapple Coconut. This sparkling water is delicious, but contains too much sugar.

4. Bubly

This sparkling water tasted awful. I gave my neighbor cans of this sparkling water. She did not like Bubly either!

5. Seltzer

I really like Polar Seltzer Original! This is right up there with Waterloo! Tastes crisp, like a glass of good, pure and clean water only with bubbles.

Why do I like sparkling water so much? While growing up, we had well water. The water had black particles. The water tasted awful. My loved ones could not stop having this water problem as we did not live close to the city for city water. So, I drank diet soft drinks.

A few years later, bottled water appeared on the grocery store shelves! Tastes OK, but I had to disguise the taste with water enhancer, which was also new to grocery store shelves.

Then, finally, the birth of sparkling water! Good, pure, clean water with bubbles!

I would love to know your opinion on sparkling water.

Would you rather drink kitchen faucet water? Is such water well water? City water?

Would you rather drink diet soft drinks?

Do you prefer bottled water?

How many of you really, really like sparkling water? What are your favorite name brands and your favorite flavors?

I look forward to your replies! Thank you!

Sparkling water is a good option if you find regular water too boring but don't want something with sugar. Personally I mostly just drink tap water, but sparkling can be a nice change. I don't usually buy it though, so I don't know what brands there are. They might not be available in other countries anyway.

Sparkling water removes toxins from the body.

I suppose it helps to flush out your kidneys because it hydrates you, but the bubbles don't make it do that any better than still water.

My Waterloo Cherry Limeade has gotten boring. I miss American Pineapple Coconut. Do you have a favorite?

I have not had sparkling water in quite a while. I just cannot afford the habit.

I miss American pineapple coconut sparkling water sold at Wal-Mart.

I miss Polar's original seltzer, which is sold at various grocery stores.

Not many of you have replied. Do you not drink sparkling water?

I did buy Sparkling Water a few times.
However, it is not a regular buy for me.
Yet it can give some benefits as compared to Soft Drinks.

I am so excited!

My roommate is in the city shopping. She is picking up some sparkling water for myself! I cannot wait! It has been in like forever!

She is also picking up a crate of water for myself!

I told you about mid-February and now finally I can have some!

Waterloo is also my choice especially when you get the refreshing taste of Cherry Limeade. I like this drink because it quenches thirst without adding sugar to the body. It helps to stay healthy while you are fulfilling your duties.

I have a new favorite! Clear American peach sparkling water! I have worked my budget and now can afford. However, I do still love Diet Dr Pepper and might do a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

Clear American peach sparkling water huh that’s a solid pick. Those flavored sparkling waters hit different especially when you want something refreshing but not heavy. Peach flavor usually lands smooth and sweet without being overpowering so I get why it’s your new favorite. It’s the kind of drink that feels light enough for daily sipping but still gives that little spark of excitement compared to plain water.

It's common to not find the taste of sparkling water appealing. Many people find the carbonation to be "yucky" or a bit medicinal. For some, the effervescence is what draws them in, but if that's not your thing, there are plenty of alternatives to drinking water without sacrificing freshness. You can try flavored still water, iced herbal teas, or even adding a piece of fresh fruit to regular water for a little flavor without the bubbles. This gives you hydration and a little "twist" without the soda sensation.

I've taken to mixing sparkling water/soda water/ pink tonic with a dash of cordial (usually passion fruit) and I LOVE it! I haven't had pop in absolute ages.

@Jem Smith has mentioned "cordial" before on FC. I still do not know what cordial is. ;) ;)

It's a concentrated drink that you dilute with water. Usually fruit flavoured but you can get things like sarsparilla too. I'm sure you have them in the US, although they may be called something different.

A lot of people really don't know the effects of drinking water, it's also great for keeping your organs fresh.

We have a well that provides clean water and for drinking we boil it and cool it. I never go for soft drinks and only have fresh juice made from fruits that grow in our garden
