The British economy earns £2.5bn on their economy thanks to the Royals. More people are interested visiting a castle with existing royals over a castle with no royals. A King or Queen gives the people the "strong man" or "strong woman" figure while a person who is qualified becomes Prime Minister. With the trashy garbages US had been electing, Constitutional Monarchy>>>>>> Republic with Presidents.
With fake news around so many Republics had elected Fascists. My country was doing better as a Monarchy than a republics. Majority of 3rd world countries are Republics, that is enough redflag.
I always like talking with you because we gree to disagree.
I get where you're coming from. But hey! Rome had emperors. Tourists can visit the ruins of a once-powerful empire and that can generate revenue. They don't need to still have emperors. People visit ruins in Mexico, and money is earned from tourism. But nobody needs leaders of a civilization that offered human sacrifices.
I'm really not against a monarchy if it's a wise king or queen. But if they are useless, who needs them? In America, supposedly we can rid of useless politicians. It's not easy to do it, but it can be done. No matter what type of government is in place, if the leaders in power or useless, corrupt, and/or oppressive ... WHO NEEDS THEM?
I mean no disrespect to the wonderful citizens of the UK but Charles and Camilla are useless. There is no convincing me of their "value" even if you calculate it in terms of tourist dollars. They aren't even a good representation of the country and its people. At least his mother, Queen Elizabeth, was witty, classy, wise to the ways of world politics, and represented her country well on the world stage.
