Top Gun Maverick has now Passed 1 BILLION Dollars ( and still counting )

Postby KityCat » 27 Jun 2022, 01:35

Such a dream run for Tom Cruise , it was released exactly a month ago from today and its still going very strong even with competition from Jurassic World .

This is not only Tom Cruise's first 1 billion film and his highest grossing film ever , it is also Paramount Picture's First ever 1 Billion dollar earning film since Transformers: Age Of Extinction (1.104B$) ever since 2014 !
This is also this year's first 1 Billion dollar film has well !

I am yet to see the film , though I have seen the first one and its pretty good .

Have you seen it ?

They write off his love interest from the first movie because the actress is retired and fat now.

I was happy with $5 admission and Half Price Popcorn any size.

In another week or two I may go see it again. I did watch the original on Amazon Prime Movies again the night before I went.

Working on a New Side-Hustle

Since age is no longer creeping up on me, but rushing in like an NFL ball carrier on 4th down from the 1 yard line. it's very simple.

It is impossible to compare Top Gun with Jurassic world, the second one is a theme that is too much explored and there aren't many more things to add to the story. Top Gun is almost a brand now and Tom Cruise showed to be still in great shape to the character.

Seems like Top Gun will easily go to the top 10 in the all time box office. I am curious how far it would go. Could it land the top 5 all time...

It ended up being second highest grossing film of 2022 ! Avatar 2 surpassed it ($2.2B+)
