Quake 3 (and Quake Live) is my favorite game ever. Played it pretty much from the time it came out (1999).
Another favorites would be first person RPGs Deus Ex and System Shock 2.

My favorite FPS on PC is Portal 2! So awesome and clever... But my favorite FPS from all time must be perfect dark on the n64

I think counter strike was one of the best and most famous FPS. I also like the left for dead series. I love playing against zombies not just other soldiers.

I play only quake 3 and zombies, They are my favourite games and played several times and still playing whenever i get time. I am yet to try counter strike because according to this thread, i think that game is also quite interesting to play

Although I am not the biggest FPS fan, I looove Bioshock! The Bioshock games are amazing, not only it has the regular guns and stuff but also really cool powers

Hard to say, I have played so many in the past that is hard to choose. I would say that Quake and Unreal Tournament are my favorites but there are so many others like Deus Ex: Invisible War, Crysis, Doom 3, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Counter-Strike, etc.

Anyway Unreal Tournament was a total madness, I choose this one to be my favorite ehehe
