Actually I think it is, but just routing through so much place introduces delay and noise, so packet loss and slow load is actually the cause. Its a good browser to me though :P

In terms of features, i guess its more like Firefox

Is it any safe to use? I can see it's use to access onion websites, but really... Even Brazil's Cops are arresting people who use Tor to do illegal activities. I imagine USA can easily track people down.

I mean, most people use it for the "anonymity", I don't think this is really working. I believe snowden said so himself too.

Yeah... They were involved in some "underground sh*t" and thought that by using TOR they would be fully anonymous. Good thing they weren't :D

I agree, other than changing the word Firefox to Tor Browser it looks almost same.

TOR browser is indeed firefox browser. Of course, it's good for those who can't access certain sites which are blocked in your country as well as become anonymous if you wanted more privacy with your sites you're viewing.

The Brave Browser has Tor built in so all you do is open a Private Window and it loads Tor automatically.

That just shows that each individual needs to make their own evaluation. I find it stronger than other browsers and much faster. I use it for a couple of sites I earn from that stay open all day in Brave with no problems, in fact sometimes for many days in a row without closing it.

I heard that this is one of the browsers that one can use to access the dark web. How true is that?

Tor is a protocol for accessing dark web sites (sites having .onion domains). Tor browser is specialized to access dark web sites.

Tor is a method for remaining anonymous.

Yeah, but there are other methods of staying anonymous too. Among all, Tor is the most sophisticated and almost hack-proof way to stay anonymous online such that most cybercriminals use it to hide their identity when online. Hence this thing almost became ubiquitous with that part of the web that is notorious for doing illegal activities called the dark web/deep web.
There is an entire community hidden from the prying eyes of the general internet under this Tor protocol and the tools that are built on top of it. So it is just not a random method of staying anonymous anymore, it is entirely a different ball game.

Is the dark web restricted for people like us to access? How can I get to access this dark web? Inam curious.
