It well though, this would make it even harder to earn here but then again its very understandable. Things are pretty tough this period. I pray things get better pretty soon.

I think we are earning max 5 FC in a day now, I thought we will earn at least 10 as the rate will be reduced by 0.05

Yes indeed. Because there are so many platforms where I was an active member and the Admin SUCKED! That's why I left. I have been here since 2017. As long as the site is up and running, I'm staying.

Thank you for updating us. It's okay. We want the forum to keep running and going strong. We are here to support FC in any possible way.

Thank you @Fergal, for providing us with an update regarding the reduction in Forumcoin pay rates. I understand the need for adjustments when it comes to sustaining the platform. We all remain optimistic about the future of Forumcoin.

With the current situation, I think this move is understandable and quite necessary to keep this site running. I have had my 500 fc here for months and cashing out anyway. I think I will just use it to pay for ads soon, At least I get to support this platform.
Hopefully, we will all get thru this difficult times

To be honest i do not think that money can be be earned only by posting and commenting,a paid to post forum has so much wealth potential beyond what we can imagine.Actually earning by posting threads and comments is but only one of the parts. But we need to create liquidity in the forum and promote exchange of products, goods and services. We just need to think business.

A transparent update to the site members regarding the status is what I like about an earning site, and there are few people like @Fergal in this PTP business who keeps things transparent.

Will there be sections excluded from this change? I'm honestly not much a fan of some sections being worth more as when thinking about earning, that means the more profitable sections will be flooded and the rest will be lacking. I mostly use this site to learn new ways to earn online and sharing ideas moreso than to make money off the actual posts I make. So I focus on making quality posts and connections as it benefits everyone in the long run.

Thanks for your question @Masterminor , most sections now award 0.5 ForumCoin per post and per topic. The Forum Games section pays a little less than that. You can view the rates in this post.

Oh not a good news !! Can we have higher payouts for a better quality discussion or post - may be once a quarter?
I hope that FC earns better revenues in the coming days.

That's acceptable. I hope this is something that wouldn't remain permanent. Hopefully things goes well with you and the normal payment rates be restored in the future where applicable.

Re: Reducing ForumCoin Paid per Post

Postby OldGuy » 18 Nov 2023, 02:26

According to the State of Inbound report, content creation is a top priority for 80% of marketers. Moreover, on average, content marketing accounts for 26% of B2B marketing budgets. Consistent, high-quality, and engaging content impacts audience decision-making more than any other technique.

The ongoing issue with ForumCoin is the sheer volume of junk content. There are many members who are posting a high volume of content, but it is useless rubbish that is destroying the value of the site. They are truly doing more harm than good with the volume of pure junk. The single member with the highest volume of posts has a mere 3.48% reputation score. The entire community rates that content as pure junk as proven by the lack of reputation points.

The direct result of the high volume of junk content is that those higher paying advertisers are not advertising on this site. We are stuck with low paying advertisers who refuse to pay a decent rate for quality ads and that directly translates to just how much funding Fergal has available to pay all of us for our contributions. Cut out the junk content and create value added content to improve our own pay rate.

This comes down to understanding the purpose and value of the reputation points. The overall average reputation score for the entire history of ForumCoin has now fallen to a disgustingly low 7.43%. Back in 2018, it was actually above 11%. It has taken a huge amount of junk content to make that difference.

If you see content that truly adds unique educational value to the topic, you should make it a point to give them a positive reputation point. Be sure to add a comment on the reason you gave them that point. If you see junk content that adds no value to the topic, you really need to hit that exclamation point in a triangle at the upper right corner of the post to let the administration know they need to take a look and issue a negative reputation point or perhaps even a ban if they decide it is justified.

The entire ForumCoin community is a jury of your peers. Their collective opinions of the value of your content is revealed in their giving out reputation points based on the added value of your content.

You can determine your own reputation score at any time. Simply divide your collection of reputation points by your total volume of posts and read the results as a percentage.

If your score is at or below the site average, the community is telling you that you are posting junk content and need to improve for the health of the entire site. If your reputation score is below 10%, your volume of content is actually damaging the site.

We all need to work as a team to push out the junk content as we each individually need to make sure every post adds new and unique educational content in every post.

It will take a lot of time and a community effort, but we can indeed raise our own income levels by providing a high volume of value added content every time.

You also need to tell those that are providing a high level of value content by giving out positive reputation points when it is deserved. You should make it a part of your participation every time you log in.

Well explained. But it all looks like members don't understand the whole reputation point system. Members rarely award points even when the post is of value. We simply post replies and go without awarding a score when it deserves. Have learnt this and will award in future.

Might be an unpopular option but perhaps maybe there should be a reputation requirement to cash out and access the shops? So that payouts aren't going to the people making low quality content so they are not inclined to come here or stay.
