Are you trying to renovate your home then you would be saving money if you reuse the materials in the home. you would be wasting and spending money throwing old materials and appliances out to get new ones. Like if you are renovating your kitchen you can save money with reusing cabinetry and some appliances. You can save money reusing your kitchen cabinet doors by refacing the doors to change the style. If it is bad looking you can just replace the doors but leaving the cabinet body in place to save money.
But if you think you can’t reuse any materials already in your space, you can still save money by buying materials via salvage yards or buy/sell/trade websites . you would get them way cheaper. You can also buy fairly used materials at building material auctions people are moving and need to sell perfectly fine materials and appliances. So you take advantage to save money with the items bought which will help you save money
