Amazon Vouchers?

Postby Spontaneo » 16 Dec 2024, 18:52

About Amazon vouchers, I am very new to earning them. I usually use PayPal payments. I have yet to earn a voucher, but am very excited for in the future.

How do vouchers work? Are they like gift cards? Are they difficult?

What do you usually buy? Can you buy nice items with them?

Thank you. I look forward to your reply.

Just to clarify when you exchange ForumCoin for Amazon vouchers, what I actually send you is an Amazon Gift Card to the email address you provide. One advantage of taking payment this way is that you don't need a member link for the payment.

Thank you so much for explaining. I understand what gift cards are. I was clueless about vouchers.

May I ask you and members of FC, what are some items commonly bought by FC members with an Amazon gift card?

Hi @Fergal, can you also send a gift card accepted by amazon.in, that is operative in India?

I am from the UK but I imagine it is the same for UK and USA users but gift cards are pretty much able to be used for anything on Amazon whether it is sold and dispatched by Amazon themselves or a third party selling through their site. The only thing I have encountered that I can’t spend my gift card balance on is services offered by Amazon such as Blink camera subscriptions.

I am wondering things like do they buy food? Drink? Clothing? Does the $5 gift card simply cover shipping of an item?

I only exchange my FC for Amazon giftcards since there are no fees, and I use Amazon frequently enough that it's like cash to me.

You can use the $5 for any tangible item - drinks, food, groceries, gifts. It doesn't cover shipping, but if you have Amazon Prime, that is not an issue. You can also save your giftcard to your Amazon account. It doesn't expire so you can wait until you have a bigger balance to use it.

I would prefer that too but they don't have Amazon India Gift cards

An even bigger advantage is there are no fees. Since I spent hundreds worth last year that is a big point with me.

There is no usual purchase, just whatever I need. I recently bought a new monitor for my computer, a 3 key programable keyboard for a money making project I am working on, a new fangled can opener for my wife, some OTC meds for my sleep problems and foot neuropathy, a squeegee for the shower and some magnetic sheets for my wife to store her Stampin' Up dies. I also sent a Gift Card to my son's family across the country for Christmas and bought a candle lighter for our only daughter. Like I say, I use it all the time

It is good to know that you can send a gift card to someone to use. Thank you.

My main amazon account got banned for doing this back on RIF :'(
I cry. They said it looked "suspicious". They never restored it. They told me to just create a new account, which they always then close. Now I can't shop at Amazon.
So just be warned. I had a history of purchases on amazon as well with the credit card on file used for purchasing gift cards. Not sure why they decided to close the account.

Thanks for the warning Jordan, do you know if there is anything in their terms and conditions that prohibits that?

I do not quite understand? Would you explain?

I have money on my PayPal balance. I cannot use this balance. When I attempt to use my PayPal balance to purchase an item, for example eBay, they take the total amount from my bank debit card! So, now, I have to use an Amazon gift card at least. My item is paid with the $5 Amazon gift card and THEN the rest owed for my purchase from my bank debit card.

Theres nothing against the terms as far as I know. They just found it "suspicious" of me emailing gift cards to people around the world I guess 🤷‍♂️
I had to prove I was the owner of the credit card, and no matter what documents I sent, it wasn't good enough.

They have everything so I just buy what I need. I do most of my Christmas shopping on Amazon, and I also get household items on there too. I paid for my vacuum and new bed frame using gift cards too.

Do you accumulate your Amazon gift cards or buy items $5 by $5?
