Use Redbubble or other print on demand services. Just upload design and they will do everything else: make a product, print design and send it to customer.

This is actually a very profitable idea. I have encountered many youtube channels that have stated they are not monetized through youtube but rather earn all their revenue by selling promotional products. Just about anything you can think of that can be printed with whatever content you want to include and directly offered to viewers with each video. Even specialty items to promote specific topics and content. Members could even order special prints to include invitations to join the site for simplifying referrals. If you offer unique items, guests could even order the items without even becoming a member.

Could actually grow to enough funding to return to previous pay rates for content.

Some sites already have big customer base. You just must guess what design they want. For some you have to search for customers.
Look, any advertising is always good, until you sell design. Most important part is you can be designer and they will do everything rest.

I have a friend with a business who has t-shirts, jackets and a ton of writing pens with his business logo. The only part is is that he gives the merchandise out for free. He is widely known and gets alot of publicity.

If you do not like the selling part, how about earning an item for a certain amount of ForumCoins?
