Closed Create and Publish an E-Cookbook For Myself

Postby Spontaneo » 04 Apr 2025, 04:14

I want to write an e-cookbook containing my own personal recipes. My problem is that I do not know how to create an e-cookbook and do not know how to publish an e-cookbook.

I need a person to receive my recipes, create the e-cookbook and publish the cookbook for myself.

If interested, reply or PM with how many Forum Coins you are asking for.

Thank you! ;) ;)

Good luck with finding the person you need Spontaneo. Well done on getting started with your ebook.

My suggestion would be to write the book in a Word document to start off with. That way once you have the content created you can save it as a PDF document and then you have an ebook. You can also have it edited or formatted in different ways by someone you hire, at that point.

I agree on starting the draft on the Word document. For cooking e-book, you can use tools like Canva , Adobe InDesign , Scrivener and transfer content into the template before publishing it.

Do note on your intended final output. Calibre is a good tool for managing and converting ebooks formats.

If this is just for personal use , you can save it in Microsoft Word , save as PDF.

If you plan to monetize it and sell it, you need to adhere to certain standards , depending on the platform you want to sell on.

The first step is putting the content together. Once you have done that you can format the ebook. Have you written any content yet?

I have recipes in my head but just not typed up yet. I could figure out how to accomplish creating the actual e-cookbook by myself, but want the e-cookbook to be professional.

You may try outsourcing it to freelancers, or alternatively, Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), Apple Books, IngramSpark, Lulu, etc.

Do pay attention to terms & conditions. Not everything is free and costs may differ. Suggest to research properly before picking a platform.

I would prefer to have a FC member to do the work. Amazon seems good.

Don’t give up you gotta be persistent in achieving things you want to accomplish.
