I remember when the trailer of Minecraft the Movie was released. It got so much negative reviews. People are disliking the trailer. Minecraft is one of the most successful video games at the same time. Imagine Microsoft paid billions of dollars to the creator to purchase it. It doesn't have any plot. So, when it was adapted into a movie, the people behind the movie got all the liberties they wanted. I won't say the movie is a masterpiece, but one thing you will notice, the cast shut up. They didn't try to defend the movie. They didn't try to talk about their politics. And guess what? Their silence gave them success. They already made more money than Snow White on its first day. They just made 300 million dollars in one day. Sometimes, all you need to do to have a successful movie is to shut up. No one from the cast of Minecraft tried to defend the movie. No one tried to pull a Rachel Zegler. They just shut up from the anti-wokes, from the critics, from the fans of the video game. They just shut up. And shutting up got rewarded. They made money.The movie is not a masterpiece, but it is peak cinema to those Gen Z who grew up with Skibbidy Toilet, like the Gen Alpha.
