DC comics decided to kill Diana, the Wonderwoman so they promote this new Wonderwoman called Yara. Yara is a Brazilian Wonderwoman and she is not an Amazon from Themyscira, she is an Amazon from Amazon forest. No one likes her so they think people will finally like Yara if they killed of Diana. Diana will be public domain in 10 years so DC is trying to make Yara popular.



Stupid decision. Multiple generations from our grandma, dad and nieces and Nephews, Grew up with Diana. Stop forcing Yara because you want a Latina superhero. No One likes Rachel Zegler as Snow White. Now They want Wonder woman to be replaced by this Brazilian they are forcing whose comics are not selling.

But that seems to me like a smart commercial and branding move. And this is the earliest they could have brought Yara.

I think I support this line of thought. But it seems they didn't want anything to do with a character that would soon be public domain.
