'Together' is an upcoming horror movie starring Alison Brie and Dave Franco, directed by Michael Shanks. I don't want to read too much about it for fear of of spoilers but from the trailer it looks like body horror (a bit like David Cronenburg's work, and maybe similar to The Substance in style) but with maybe some dark comedy thrown in.

I don't watch horror movies unless they are really good with storyline. I totally avoid it if it has a lot of gross scenes. Yes, some dark comedy thrown in horror movies make it a bit tolerable.

I think this one is likely to be pretty gross.

I'm a horror fan. I don't watch the ones that are just torture porn like Terrifier or the Human Centipede, but I don't mind some gore as long as there is also a good story.

Kinda in terms of the body horror, not so much the plot. The Substance was about ageing and remaining relevant, beauty standards etc. This one is about codependency in relationships.

I really like Alison Brie. She was great in Glow and Community.

I went to see it last night with my husband. It's a messed up choice for a date night movie- I definitely wouldn't take someone to it on a first date- but we both enjoyed it. It's well done, and very funny.
