What do you think? I was on board with Leto as the Joker but I hate this. Then again I hated the Ledger's Joker reveal (remember saying it looks like Marilyn Manson) but I was proven wrong. Hopefully the tattoos are just part of the reveal image and they will be removed because they look quite stupid. The leaked image showed on the cellphone on the other hand looks quite promising.

I saw the image about 6 hours ago, and I found it quite... Lacking.

But it makes sense to bring back the "joker" joker. It'll be quite hard to beat Ledger in terms of darkness/madness, so a hysterical Joker with a pop culture appeal makes a lot of sense. Leto wouldn't be able to top that Joker, so let's create a new one!

That being said, we'll need a teaser/trailer to confirm anything

I tell you the truth, what you felt about Leto is absolutely correct. Many people were skeptical but came to change after seeing his performance. Ledger also surprised us with a big surprise despite the initial negative reviews. This shows that sometimes we are wrong only by looking at appearances.

About those tattoos of the new Joker, it is true that they seem to be poorly planned. But maybe it is just part of the trick to attract our attention before the actual film comes out. Often, early images do not show the true nature or direction of the character. Let's not give up early before we see the full work.

And the leaked image on the phone seems to have some appeal. There is room for good changes and maybe they will show us a more unique Joker. Let's be patient and see if they fix or improve it further. Sometimes surprises come when we least expect it.
