Reality shows

Postby bestwriter » 29 Oct 2025, 05:21

It is quite a rage these days with TV Channels loaded with reality shows be they dance, singing and talent shows.

I like to watch these shows even though some say there is no justice when it comes to choosing the winner.

Looking at the participants where some come from homes with just a hand to mouth existence for them it is a gollden opportunity to make their presence felt and even if they are not chosen there are some among viewers who give them an opportunity to make use of their talent

I love competitive reality shows where contestants get eliminated one by one. But I hate the diary type of reality shows. You know, like the Kardashians.

Reality shows are everywhere these days. People dance, sing, and show off their talents live. It's entertainment but it's also a platform for dreams to come true without much guesswork.

Some say winners are chosen for their own good, but there are still benefits. Many contestants come from difficult lives but they use that opportunity to be seen and trusted.

Even if they don't win, there are still people who see their talents and give them deals. That's a big win. Don't underestimate any platform, it can be the door to a new life. Keep believing in your dream.

Diary-type reality shows, there are no competitions, there are no eliminations. Usually, they just focus on the private life of a person. For example, the Kardashian family, or Honey Boo Boo, or a celebrity family like... like their real housewives. Most of these reality shows have no elimination, and many people theorize that they could be scripted because, you know, they just follow a person 24-7. And these type of reality shows actually created big stars. For example, Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner are from Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Gigi and Bella Hadid are daughters of a cast member of The Real Housewives. Honey Boo Boo was the star of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. They kind of turned into celebrities even though, you know, cameras just follow them around. Usually, if you are a... I think the first person who does these type of reality shows is Paris Hilton. The diary-type reality shows are very similar to vlogs in some way.

I think I get you now No competition but they through course of time get a name and become famous perhaps by putting up 'one man' shows

Take for example the Late Lata Mangeshkar. She was rated the best singer and she did not take part in any cmpetition

Absolutely agree! Reality shows provide a platform for talent and opportunity, regardless of the outcome.

You are a very unlucky contestant if the editors decided to turn you into a villain. Here's the thing, it's so easy to make someone a villain without even going scripted. All they need to do is to edit out your positive moments and compile all your negative moments to turn you into a villain. Here's the thing, they have 24 hours selection of footage that they can use against you. For example, there is a contestant who was shocked that she is given a villain role by the means of editing. They tried to make her rude and mean when everyone has rude and mean moments, but she was just chosen to look annoying. Then there is also the invisible contestant. If they find your personality boring, they will make you not exist at all. If they find your personality boring, they will make you not exist at all.For example, the Netflix reality show Squid Game The Challenge have 456 contestants, and you cannot fit 456 people on one episode. So, there are so many contestants who were made non-existent at all. And then there are contestants who were easily made villain.

That could be possible which we call "Match Fixing" But for me it is pure entertainment and I do not look at the ratings that contestents receive good or bad.

Its not match fixing, its more like using the footage and events they have and make a story out of it. They cannot control who gets voted off but they can control how to portray every person base on footages they have

My point is that TV stories are created by the reviewer. That's not match fixing, it's the creation of visas. The actors can't manipulate the results of the vote.

But they can choose the clips to show people. Everyone is shown in the style they wanted from the beginning. This is why we give them random clubs. They create interesting stories based on what they see.

Anyway, a huge problem of many reality shows right now are the pick me girls. Here's the thing. A lot of female contestants felt like they get along with men better, so... These days, recently, female contestants have tendencies to vote off each other even if it's not good for them. Look, I understand sometimes... you have to vote off people because you don't get along with them. But sometimes, I notice many women are willing to betray women they call as best friends because for some unknown reasons, they feel more secure being aligned with a man. And many producers cast these kind of women because they are so afraid of all-women alliances. So they will make sure to cast this woman who thinks she is one of the boys.

I have no interest in knowing who the winner is as there is no fair deal at any reality shows but I go for the entertainment.
