The present generation lives in a cucoon keeping their life to themselves. A friendship can only last if one shares one's life's events good and bad with each other In a way I find it to be an unhealthy trend keeping to onself.

Yes, I agree that bonds are created when people share what they are going through with others. It is difficult to form friendships with people who don't communicate their own experiences, thoughts and emotions.

The fast advancement in technology has made people addicted to electronic gadgets. In the process relationships are soaring.

An analysis needs to be made which is more useful electronic interacton or personal relationships.

The present generation, as in children? Or do you mean people who are adults now?

I'm gen x and I wouldn't say I keep to myself. I share my highs and lows with my friends. People younger than me seem to do that too as far as I can tell.
