Store-brand products are often cheaper than big brands, and the difference in quality is usually the same. When shopping, it's a good idea to buy store-brand products, especially for cereals, dairy, and canned goods. You'll find that you save a lot of money without sacrificing taste or quality. Many people are surprised after trying them and find that there's no difference other than an increase in their budget. It's an easy way to cut costs without compromising your lifestyle. If you make it a habit, you'll notice an improvement in your budget and a reduction in shopping stress.

Honestly store brands are worth it. I switched over a while ago and barely noticed a difference especially with stuff like cereal and canned goods.

"Buy in Bulk" and "Don’t Shop Hungry"
- my big takes.
I do try to follow shopping lists but at times I overshoot what I have planned.
Really useful tips.

I used to do the exact same thing. I had made this nice organized list walked into the store with good intentions and then somehow ended up with a cart full of random stuff that wasn't even on there. Now I'm way more careful about it. I still buy some things in bulk but only stuff I know I will actually use.

Since my last post here on your subject, my roommate and I have changed our shopping.

Instead of shopping at local dollar stores, my roommate decided to do our shopping in the city at Walmart!

She claims that we are saving money, but we are not.

That's interesting.. we don't have Walmart here so I can't really compare prices But honestly sometimes the savings at big stores aren't as real as people think once you factor in gas money and time spent driving to the city. We have dollar stores and I actually find them pretty decent for certain items.

I know what you mean about gasoline money. I have to pay her cash every week.
