I don't use cotton buds because they actually push the ear buds closer to the eardrum, so I stopped using them. Instead, I use the gadget with camera that can remove the earwax. If I have more money, I will have my ears professionally cleaned, but I don't have much money, so I use the ear scoop with camera and it's so effective. And I just learned how to use my hands more gently, so I won't hurt myself.
