Here's this influencer who made one of her vlogs while carrying her 1-year-old daughter. Take note, 1-year-old. And then, suddenly, someone tipped her that someone made an AI porn video of her 1-year-old daughter. I guess the person who did that AI video wants to take advantage of her celebrity fame. So that pervert decided to make an AI porn video of that 1-year-old toddler of hers. And ever since that incident happened, she decided not to show any of her children on her vlogs ever again.

Yep. It's about consent. Even setting aside the possibility of pics being stolen and misused like that, I think children have a right not to have their pictures out there for anyone to see. When my children grow up they can post pictures of themselves online if they want to, but I will try to afford them some privacy. I'm so grateful that social media wasn't around when I was a kid because my Mum would totally have put pictures of me online (based on the fact that she showed everyone printed copies of pictures of me whether I liked it or not). And I'm glad that I wasn't able to put my own stupid teenage antics out there myself.

Even when AI was not so abused, I refrained from posting pictures of my family and daughters on social media. My privacy and personal life has to be respected by me before others respect it. And a thumb rule or courtesy is to seek permission before you use their picture. And children are too young to give their consent.

These days even posting your own personal pictures and videos is becoming risky. I have seen cases where people use the pics of others create a fake account and scam them with it.

We had a case of kidnapping here few years back. A young girl was kidnapped on the very first' day of her High school. She came from an affluent family and the girl was abducted for ransome. Mom who was very active on social media platforms kept sharing and posting enthusiastically, even showcasing her wealth and exuberant lifestyle. She posted her daughter's picture to the first day to school. And the school name board came in the picture. Kidnappers had the clue where to get the girl. Later, it was found that some Facebook friend ( not so well known in personal life) was the person who was behind this kidnapping. This is scary!!
