Brisbane Bus Driver Rescues Koala Heroically

Postby germainebull » 07 Feb 2026, 12:58

This story has really hit home for me.

A bus driver in Brisbane, Australia, saw a koala running in the middle of a busy road. The koala tried to climb a light pole and the driver was afraid it would fall. He grabbed a jacket, covered the koala's head and carried it inside the bus. The video and photos show the koala holding onto the pole inside the bus while waiting for wildlife experts to arrive.

I feel this is a vibe of kindness and rescue that brings a smile to everyone's face. It's a moment to show how humans can help creatures without hesitation and bring the energy of compassion.

Sure. We still have some of us who would not hesitate from treating others with kindness, even animals.

Yeah, I heard about that at the time (it's local to me). It was very kind of them to rescue the koala. It's a bit sad though because the koala was only driven into a populated area like that because their habitat is so reduced due to land clearing.

This is why some keep saying that human ambitions should be restrained.
