GEN Z - a different kettle of fish

I can sum it up in one sentence - GEN Z has embraced the Internet full time

This is a transition phase where the older generation is neither here nor there having to put up with what I could call idiosyncrasies of GEN Z

Off line contacts
Keeping in touch with family and friends physically that which was of paramount importance not so long ago is hardly seen

The GEN Z only meets at events and that could sometimes mean may be once in few years as it happened with our family when a family union was organized.

Gone are the days when members of the family sat together for food. Gone are the days when family members watched tv together These days the GEN Z will watch it in their own room where they will either have their own tv or get glued to the Smart Phone
Living under one roof where elders ruled the roost is a thing of the past. We see even teenagers leaving their home and living independently

Marriage

Marriage is no longer considered important or necessary Live in arrangements can be seen as more a rule than an exception. Live in arrangements probably are less binding on each other.

Comforts come first
Living in apartments rather than houses surrounded by gardens seems to be their choice as manual work is not their cup of tea that would be required to maintain houses and gardens
The DINK(Double income no kids) concept has been embraced and that does not mean that they will reach out to the needy and share their wealth. This indicates their selfish mindset

Their choice of visiting Gyms for their exercise rather than being active doing household chores is yet another of their bad choices.

Gizmo hungry

Their appetitie for technology upgrades whether they are needed or not – why would anyone for example, want 4 cameras unless one is a professional photographer? – has contributed to global warming

Patriotism
Their eagerness to leave the country seeking greener pastures has contributed to what is called brain drain. Their country needs them

In Conclusion

What will the world be when the entire population embraces this way of life with no offline contact with each other, decrease in population, lack of greenery, no place for animals, concrete jungles everywhere…..

A way of life devoid of family and friends bonding – neighbours living like strangers and Robots taking over the upkeep of homes and establishments.
And last but not the least embracing AI leaving the brain to hibernate

This observation of yours is very strong. Gen Z is often seen as a generation that lives more digitally than physically. Many are so busy with their phones, social media, and hustle that bonding with family and neighbors has diminished. It is a saying that if you don't interact with your neighbors, your home becomes a desert.

But not everyone is like that, so there is also a movement to restore community vibes through meetups, events, and online groups that are turning physical. It is a different lifestyle but there is still room to create real connections if someone chooses.

Gen Z has a huge hunger to seek greener pastures abroad and this has led to brain drain. Many feel that opportunities at home are limited and they want a life of stability and growth. This is causing many young people with skills to leave and leaving a huge gap in the local economy.

It is a difficult reality because the country is losing people with fresh talent. But it also shows that young people do not want to remain stagnant and want to progress. Brain drain is becoming a big challenge but also a signal to seek better chances and a hopeful future.

Having observed the actions of Gen-z in my country, I am sorry to say this group is overrated. Majority believe they are the only knowledgeable humans. They don't believe in hard work and patience.

Gen Z seem to be more health-conscious because... among the generations that becomes adults, they have the less number of smokers. Also, they are more politically aware, you know, what happened to Nepal, they kick out their government for being corrupt. But on the other hand, half of the Gen Z, particularly Western men, became sexist, racist, and more leaning to right-wing, while the girls became more liberal. The most disturbing will be the Gen Alpha. They're not yet adult at this moment, but in three years, we will have the first batch of Gen Alpha adults. And Gen Alpha grew up with TikTok.

I am tending to think that gen Zs are attaching unduly high importance to themselves.

A lot of them here are just too lazy and often feel entitled, with a bad attitude.

What I have noticed this generation will interact only if they benefit from those interactions.

You got it right. Entitlement is a cancer inflicting many gen-Zs.

Indeed, it's really sad honestly.
