Not sure yet about tonight, but yesterday we had ham, egg, chips, and peas, which was nice.

I made homemade chili last night, so I think I will use what's left tonight to make deluxe nachos. I'll be gone a good part of the day, so I'll need something quick. Homemade "fast" food. :D

We just had some nice pasta - it included bacon, spinach, onion, garlic, and cheese. A glass of red wine too... :D

I'm making lasagna -- something I rarely do -- with salad and garlic bread for dinner; my oldest daughter and her boyfriend are coming to eat with us.

I have some kind of stomach complaint at the moment so I'm living on Weetabix. I know it seems like a strange thing to eat but I was advised by a dog specialist to put half a weetabix in their food if they have an upset stomach so I thought I woud try it for me. It's not doing me any harm and I think I even feel slightly better today :)

I haven't had Weetabix in years! I used to really like the fruit & nut minis, but I haven't seen them in the United States for the longest time.

I have a chicken carcass that I need to deal with before it spoils, so I just threw it in a pot of water on the stove a few minutes ago. I'm simmering it to make stock, and then I'll strain it and make a batch of chicken soup for dinner. Not sure what to have with it yet... I wish I had some bananas to use up; I'd make some banana bread!

Since it was Valentine's Day, we had a fancy dinner at home instead of going to a restaurant. This way the kids can enjoy the holiday with us and we save money by not going out, even when we pay a little bit more for something nicer.

We had NY strip steaks, baked potatoes with all the trimmings, and roasted asparagus. I also made a browned butter pan sauce for the steaks by melting butter and deglazing the pan with beef stock.

I think we will have chicken and bacon pasta bake. Since I've recovered from my illness I feel really hungry all the time so extra portions for me. Won't do much for the figure though! ;)

I took some chicken drumsticks out of the freezer. I'll probably do barbecue sauce on them. I'm not sure of the sides yet. Salad for me, but maybe mac and cheese or cheese potatoes for the rest with corn for the veg.

I'm really tired because of the stupid O'clock shift I'm on this week. So I'm thinking something nice and quick like omelettes with a side salad will have to do.

Pizza for dinner, and I'm not going to feel bad about it. It was good, it was easy, and there were no leftovers. It's the kind of dinner I needed after an exhausting day.

We have had pizza night on Fridays for quite some time. Sometimes frozen, sometimes homemade (or pizza bread), occasionally take out. My husband and I might have a sandwich or something else, but pizza for the kids. I don't feel bad, and they always looked forward to it. I need one night off from cooking/dishes, plus I'm usually gone during the afternoon and part of the evening on Fridays, so it needs to be something quick and easy when I get back.

So, I'll put my "dinner tonight" for tomorrow here now: Pizza!
