Re: Entertainment : My K-Drama Watched List

DRAMAFEVER CLOSED.

I'm in mourning. One of my GO TO sites for watching Korean drama has shut down. It's been 9 years but they made a business decision to close their doors. I'm sad because in the USA this site showed great series.

Oh well! I checked. VIKI, my other GO TO site for K-drama, is still available in the America.

Anybody mourning the loss of DRAMAFEVER?

I have watched a few Korean series like The Good Doctor and Legend of The Blue Sea. But I really am not a fan of Korean drama.

Slave Hunter was so cool! When it started out it withnthose 3 guys riding on horses, it reminded me of a Clint Eastwood western. But the series was nothing like a Clint Eastwood movie. And the soundtrack was great!!

I haven't watched any k-drama mentioned by you. But I have watched "Boys over flower". This is the first and last (till now) k-drama I have watched. I really loved that show and watched it twice. The reason I don't watch k-drama more because I don't understand the language and it's irritating for me to watch something with subtitles. Subtitles distract me so much that I can't enjoy the show or movie I'm watching. I really find k-drama very entertaining and looking forward to watch more. :)

@Rosalin - Yeah. For me reading the subtitles wearies my eyes. I have to take breaks from movies and series where I need to read the subtitles. But then I go back. Right now I'm watching old black & white American movies.

I had to revisit this thread because I remembered you mentioned where I could find Asian movies and TV shows but I forgot the name of the site.

I am so ready to blow my top! I binge-watched a Korean drama TV series but it was only Season 1. The last episode left me hanging. So I started looking to see if I could find Season 2 at maybe another website.

From what I can tell there is no Seacon 2. THAT IS SO WRONG!!

Get me all worked up like that and involved with the characters and then JUST LEAVE IT!

I've never had this happen before. I AM SO UPSET!

The name of the series is “Gu Family Book”. Some sites call it “Kangchi, The Beginning”.

No Season 2? No Ending???? It is so unfair!

Korean dramas are meant to short though. If you want longer dramas, try Indian and Turkish dramas. They have like hundreds of episodes.

Meant to be short? Have you ever watched "6 Flying Dragons". That series kept me all night! By the way, I love Turkish dramas. I usually watch Indian movies and every now and then I'll watch a series, if they have any on Netflix.

Yeah. It's 2013. So that means if they were going to continue it the follow up seasons should have already come out. This is the first time though that I've ever been upset. Most of the K-drama series I watch, I have followed to the end and been satisfied with the final episode. This is the first time I have ever been left hanging! I mean I know they would have ended the show with the bad guys finally getting what they had coming but ... I really wanted to see them get it! They left it up to my imagination???? So disappointing.

I'm so stupid. I keep forgetting that my FIre TV is awesome! I don't like the Viki website on my laptop. The streaming keeps glitching and freezing and I can't enjoy the entertainment. Yesterday I realized that I could download the Viki app to my Fire TV and start watching the K-dramas I like. I started one series just to see how it would play. No glitching. No screen freezing. It's kinda neat!

Indian dramas do not have any session, they keep running non stop till the viewers fedup and switch channel forcing the projector to stop it and allow new series.

I've watched some Indian dramas on Netflix. I assumed I watched them until The End. I was kind of disappointed. There was one that I was watching about a detective and I wanted to see more episodes. It was interesting.

@Yugocean I heard about characters having "plastic surgery" so they can be replaced actors when an actor dies or just quit because they are sick of the role.

@cmoneyspinner
This is how over dramatic Indian dramas are when they introduce the villain:

@fergus1234 - My kids don't like the Indian movie because they say there's too much singing and dancing. But I like that! Although the TV series don't necessarily have singing and dancing.

I am still trying to finish "Mr. Sunshine". It's a Korean drama but it's also a Netflix original. One of the few Netflix originals that I actually enjoy watching.
