The epidemic is back, Since people still prefer running around the bushes on their fave old threads.

It's not that I wouldn't pull some of those questions out, it's just that I don't know enough about the topics to answer them. We are told that we should post quality replies but for most of those I would not be able to do that.

Many of them are easy to answer but people don't notice them because they got buried by old thread bumpers.

People loves bumping threads of a banned member with low quality posts and threads created a decade ago while ignoring new discussions buried by bumped old post.

This is true people just keep replying to and bumping old threads.
I think this because people just like to stick to their fav topics.
But I will try to reply to more topics.

I check Unanswered. But I don't have a pattern. If I go through all the new posts and still have some time I check the Unanswered.

If you sign in every day I suppose you could dedicated one day out of the week or every other week as "Unanswered Posts Day" and then focus your efforts on those posts. I usually check all the New Posts and by the time I reach 10 posts, I sign out and come back the next day. It's a habit. I've been doing it ever since I started here.

OK. My new routine now is:
First I clear out the eMails I receive on discussions I'm following.
Then I check the Unanswered Posts.
Then I check the New Posts.

I'm glad I check the Unanswered because most of the article writers here ... they spend time writing the 500 words and then their article lands in Unanswered. So when I check I am mainly looking for new articles. They are usually very informative.

If you have an unanswered post that got buried by some hooligan that decided to reply on 1000 threads created on the year 1941 leaving your new thread or article at the page 94553434 of forum coin, You can now give it a second chance by clicking the bump topic option. Do not abuse it though, just use it when the old thread archeologists are burying your work to the bottom.

You can only do this for your own threads. If you want to bump someone else's work, reply on it with sensible post.

I don't think hooligan could be used to describe people who bump old threads:

"Hooliganism - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › Hooliganism
Hooliganism is disruptive or unlawful behavior such as rioting, bullying and vandalism, usually in connection with crowds at sporting events."

At one point we were asked not to keep starting new threads on the same topic when there was already a similar one on the forum so I don't really see a problem with it.

When they bump 30 threads in row, it felt like vandalism especially to people who just made a thread.

Bump huh? Neat feature. I went back to one of old articles that was in the Unanswered Posts and clicked on it. I just wanted to see how it worked. WHOA!! That's a neat feature!! I won't be using it that much but I'm glad it's there. This must be a first. I don't think I've ever seen this feature in any of the other forums where I was a member.

Dont know if am expressing the concern in a right manner or it relates. The thing I have really found a hard nut to crack is the fact that I cant seem to get notifications of new comment made connected to me in threads.I have really struggled to keep up with that and its really a challenge for me.
