During the 90's there is a woman who goes by the name "Chick" She was a grunge rock solo female singer. Nobody knows who she is and her fans don't know what she looks like. She just released an album and the people who bought it likes it. Well After 25 years the secret identity of "Chick" was revealed.



She is Mariah Carey! I was shocked that its her because she sounded like a female Kurt Cobain. There is no traces of a Popstar.Apparently Mariah secretly loves Rock music but she knows Rockers won't respect her if she makes a rock album as herself so made a secret identity. So Many Pop hating rockers got fooled to buy this album thinking its some badass rebellious girl and not a Pink and glittery popstar.

Wow, that's crazy!! I never knew and would never have guessed. That voice is so far removed from the pop Mariah Carey we've come to know and love. But to be honest, some singers reinvent themselves and experiment with other genres all the time. If I were her, I would have put out one or two rock tunes to test the waters. Who knows, her loyal fans may have liked it and she may well have gained another army of fans. Life's all about taking risks and she could have tried it at the height of her success when she'd already amassed her millions because she would have had nothing to lose.

she kind of tried it again with this one when she covered a Def Leppard song with Slash as herself.


Maybe she should give it a try again. Poppy successfully transitioned from Pop to Death Metal and got a grammy nomination
