I notice there is a recent trend in Hollywood of casting black actors for Ginger characters for the sake of diversity. Yes Gingers are Mostly white (Chinese gingers exists) but Gingers are a minority too. They never get representation because characters who are ginger turned into blondes, brunettes and POC on movies.



I think if they want diversity, they just need to make new characters instead of targeting gingers.

Many Black people are vocal they prefer original characters like Blade, Black Panther and Storm as representation than a Ginger character racebended in their favor.

They just cast Leslie Grace as Batgirl




I hope they at least dye her hair red. I mean Rihanna and Kelly Roelands are able to pull off red hair.

Why does Hollywood hate Gingers?

If a White character have to be turned Black for diversity, Why it had be the ginger character not the Brunette or Blond one?

Um? Does Ginger refer to the hair color? I mean is it a redhead? Because Maureen O'Hara was a gorgeous redhead. And Ginger (Tina on Gilligan's Island, that old TV show was also beautiful. And that guy who plays a detective in CSI Miami (David Caruso) has flaming red hair. Although I always thought he looked out of place in Miami.

But I don't really remember a lot of red-haired movie stars.

Oh! For the comic books, you left Archie. I used to read Archie comics all the time.

Honestly i am tried of people hating on gingers Southpark started it by saying gingers have no souls.. i knew a girl growing up who was a ginger and she was very nice and pretty. In fact i always thought her red hair was nice.

Being a Ginger is more than red hair, they are borderline albino, they have sensitive skin and eyesight. Most Ginger actors dye their hair brown or blonde. Yeah Hollywood loves casting Black actors for Ginger characters now. Their excuse is diversity and inclusion... So their way making things diverse is erasure of another minority group.

The fact that Hollywood is using appearance instead of the performance that someone will give is in itself prejudice, why can't they just use anyone and give the character they want.

I am what is called a strawberry blonde with pale freckly skin. I can just about pass as a blonde but I don't tan which I hate. I have always envied those people who could just spend a few hours in the sun and have a great bronzed look. I was picked on a bit at school but not about my hair colour. Now I dye it the same colour as I was when I was younger

The very first Turkish TV show that I watched was "Filinta". (viewtopic.php?f=14&t=16408) I realized that I was ignorant about the history of the people in that part of the world when I saw these people with red hair. I was like people who lived in Istanbul had red hair?? It was a great TV show. The red hair though was a real surprise!

I never knew Nicole Kidman was a ginger. But that is cool. They are pretty like I said I had a female friend when I was small who was a ginger and she was pretty. She has long red hair, and cute face and freckles. I also think it's not very nice Disney is trying to erase them from movies. I won't watch anything where they try to cancel gingers.
