I notice that a lot of romantic movies in 2022 have older women leads. Jennifer Lopez who is 52 is paired up with 27 year old Maluma and their characters are the same age. Yes she is playing the role of a 27 year old. Sandra Bullock is now paired with Channing Tatum and Daniel "Harry Potter" Radcliffe. Sandra is already an adult actress when "Harry Potter" was a baby. Gina Rodriguez is who is 37 is paired with younger actor Manny Jacinto. Decades ago we have actresses paired up with guys old enough to be their dads. Now Older actresses have longer careers as leading ladies now. I guess because we now have diets and technology to keep women look younger and also the growing popularity of "MILF porn" made Hollywood realized the younger men can find older women attractive.

Bullock is 57 is 16 years older than Tatum. This is also the first time he is paired with someone old enough to be his mom. Sandra is also 25 years older than Daniel Radcliffe. I actually like this change because for a long time, Pairing an older man to a younger woman is a norm in movies but not the other way around. During the 1960s actresses the age of Bullock are on Hagsploitation movies. Horror movies with older women as villains.

Well like you said, they are taking good care of themselves so it's very possible to take these parts, not to mention they are seasoned actors, their presence in the movie alone helps boost sales.

Hollywood is experimenting whereas in Bollywood, we still have some cases where it is older men with younger women, except for a few vice-versa cases.

Yet I have seen a few movies where even young actors- male/female played father/mother to stars near their age. Yet the experiments are probably increasing now.

As long as the female actress still looks young, appealing and have great chemistry with any actors of any age, i am ok with them. No point of pairing up young couples who could not produce the dramatic roles

Nope, I am from an islamic country. Getting a wife is as easy as paying for dowry. Dating is illegal here. What does it have to do with Hollywood's discrimination for older women finally decreasing.

Older actresses knows these producers will discriminate them and the producers will cast younger actresses over them, So they take the matter in their own hands and produce their own films and have a younger partner on screen to prove they are still bankable.
