Power Rangers is just an English dub version of the Super Sentai Franchise in Japan. The American producers just remove the scenes where rangers have no helmets and replace them with American/New Zealand actors. Most of the time Power Ranger teams are consisted of Red,Blue,Black/Green,Yellow and Pink.
Red has always been male but recently there had been female Red Rangers.
Blue has always been Male but there are occasional female Blue rangers.
Black has always been Male
White has switched genders through out the years.
Green has always been male but recently female greens exists.
Yellow switches between male and female from time to time.
Pink has always been female but for the first time we finally have a Male Pink Ranger in Super Sentai. If this version is translated to America and become Power Rangers. USA will have a Male Pink ranger too.
He has the Power of Crane birds and also the Power to borrow the powers of previous Pink Rangers who are all female. I notice he is the first Pink Ranger with no Skirt on his costume.
He is also not a teenager, He is a 33 year old Married Salaryman.
I think his wife is suppose to be chosen to be the Next Pink ranger but he accidentally took her place.
Pink Rangers had always been female for the last 40 years of Super Sentai and Power Rangers. More men are starting to wear Pink confidently, so they finally decided to make a Male Pink Ranger.
Now All I need to see is a female Black Ranger but they might try to avoid that because tight black costume on women might get seen as too sexy. There are female red rangers in the past too but they are not full time, so a full time female red will be interesting.
