People always have Violent reactions when something gets a remake

Postby Netherrealmer » 03 Sep 2022, 14:57

Everytime an old TV show, old movie and foreign content got a remake, there is always these fans who makes violent reactions on how these remakes are bad and awful but there are times though when remakes are better than the source material.

I mean there is no way on earth the Modern Planet of the apes is lesser than the Original Planet of the Apes, where the Apes look like humans in costumes. The remakes of Planet of the apes have better stories and special effects. The acting is better too because no one uses Trans-atlantic accent anymore.

The Original good doctor is a 13 episode Korean Drama, The American remake is a 6 season primetime show and it has surpassed the original's legacy already.

I am a fan of old movies but there are just some movies that don't age well and a remake can fix that.

Everyone prefers the first version becausr it is orginal and captivating. Less people would opt eatching remake version because the main story are almost the same as the first except for the characters had been changed. Furthermore viewers prefer popular actors.

I think "violent" fans need to get a life. Good grief! It's just entertainment. OK. So you don't agree with the "artistic license" that was taken with the remake. So what! They remade The Manchurian Candidate. Frank Sinatra starred in the first movie. Denzel Washington starred in the second movie. I'm sorry but the version with Frank Sinatra was better! But I won't get violent about it. If you like the version with Denzel Washington, good for you! :D

What is problem with Trans-atlantic accent? Many famous people in history used it. Should we forgot them?

Trans-atlantic accent is fake accent invented in in Hollywood from 1930s to 1970s. People in America do not talk like that but it was used in old movies to make actors look superior than ordinary humans. Also its easy to learn for the European actors of Hollywood. During the 1930s most white actors are Europeans instead of Americans.

Modern people do not like the sound of it.

This is funny. I remember when I was a kid I always wondered why our American actors sounded British. That's what it sounded like to me. Now I know the answer.
