Disney fired Margot Robbie to play Jack Sparrow in the next Pirate of the caribbean movie. They even make her wear beard to make her look like a man.


Well After Johnny Depp won his case against Amber Heard, they decided to give the role back to him. Margot Will end up doing a different Project.

She gave away the role of Harley Quinn to Lady Gaga because of this movie. Maybe they should give her a role in MCU. She could be one of the X-men.

I asked The Internet, and I learned that Margot almost played 'Sue' Storm maybe this article about contracts explains whether Robbie can-or-can't sue - maybe there was an exclusivity provision Robbie should've considered before signing.

I didn't know they were seriously considering her to play Jack Sparrow. That seems odd, considering the large number of male actors who could have filled that role instead. Why cast a female actor to play him, unless she was playing a female character who claimed to be Jack Sparrow?

My understanding is that Margot Robbie stepped away from the Harley Quinn role in order to play Barbie. Lady Gaga's version of Harley is supposed to be somewhat different than Robbie's, just like Joaquin Phoenix's Joker is very different from Jared Leto's.

Don't even know why they gave the part to Margot Robbie and don't care. So glad they gave the role back to Johnny Depp. No matter what anybody else says, I say "He is the perfect Jack Sparrow."

I am sure that there would be some mutual understanding between Margot and Disney. I am not sure what was there in the contract that they signed. Else one can sue Disney for this decision. She should be compensated for her loss in some way by Disney.
I am sure that fans would be happy to see Johnny Depp back.

Well, I guess she 'proved her respectableness' in the ensuing years; but it's rumored that she 'earned' her breakout role on the casting couch

She got her breaks because of her talent agent.. I dont think she is casting couch because the men behind her success are all gay. Also she produced some of her own movies like the award winning Itonya. Jennifer Lawrence is the theoried casting couch actress because her acting career fell the moment Weinstein is gone.
