“Strange Days” is a film that will likely interest people who have an interest in weird uses of technology OR fans of Angela Bassett or Ralph Fiennes OR both.
For me, it was weird then and it’s weird now!
But I recently read some reviews by others who were revisiting this film. Check out this reviewer's perspective:
“… what started as an intimate near-future crime story sprawled out into an epic portrait of late 20th century Los Angeles, examining tough subjects such as sexual violence, police brutality and drug addiction. In the two and a half decades that have passed since its initial release, Strange Days has become distressingly more relevant than ever.” ... 25 Years Later, STRANGE DAYS is More Relevant Than Ever
If I’m being honest, had I not heard Peter Gabriel’s voice singing “While the Earth Sleeps”, when the credits started rolling, I probably would not have taken an interest in the movie. Since the soundtrack was good, I watched the movie. (Years ago.)
They say if a movie is 20 years or older then it's a classic. After reading several reviews, I'm thinking I should put Strange Days on my "Classic Movies to Rewatch List". I love rewatching old classic movies.
Check out the Peter Gabriel video from the OST (original soundtrack).

I have not watched this classic movie. For quite some time, I tend to watch old movies. You are right that there are some of them that are so relevant in the current situation. There are times that we can see how it was being created and can be relatable to the present time.

Unfortunately I haven't watched this movie yet is it in Netflix? I just went through some reviews, and I'm not to happy with the comments that I came across with nonetheless I plan to watch it soon. I just hope that It's violent and scary.

I usually go to this site to figure out where to watch movies and TV series. https://www.justwatch.com/us/movie/strange-days
I missed watching this movie when it was released twenty years ago. I should add this to the list of my to-watch movies. Hope it does not disappoint me.

That's the thing. It does not have a high rating. But if you like weird sci-fi flicks, this might be OK.

I downloaded the Tubi app to my Fire TV. I like this app because they show a lot of free OLD movies and series that I did not get a chance to watch when they first aired on television. I also like Tubi because they have a wide variety of content ... Bollywood, Korean drama, British TV, old American TV sitcoms, etc.
