Pet Plastic Surgery becoming trend to China

Postby Netherrealmer » 01 Mar 2024, 17:52

Pet plastic surgery is not something new... Many animal clinics crop ears of Bulldogs, dobbermans and Pitbull's to make them more badass and less cute, Its banned in some US states already. But in the US they just cross borders of states where its legal so they can trim their dogs and make them look "manly"

Well now a new trend of animal cruelty technology arrives. Mickey Mouse surgery is now being trendy in China to make cats and dogs looks like Mickey mouse. This surgery is trendy to Chinese elites, People who cant afford... DIY it which is cruel. Eversince Mickey Mouse became Public domain this trend started,

Breast reduction for female dogs and cats who gave birth is becoming a thing too since pet owners find saggy boobs for pets ugly.

If they dont want a cat or dog with saggy boobs, spay them while they are young or choose a male pet instead

It's alarming that pet plastic surgery is becoming popular in China. Not only is it cruel and unnecessary, but it also perpetuates the damaging idea that animals are mere objects for human amusement and entertainment. It's heartbreaking to hear that people are pursuing these procedures for superficial reasons. Pet owners should make responsible choices for their pets, rather than following harmful trends.

Often there are trends that make news but they are not healthy or moral.
People doing such things with the thought that they have the money to do so is never right.

Gross. I've always hated practices like ear snipping. Tail docking you could at least argue is sometimes for the dog's safety, if it's a working animal, so it doesn't get its tail caught in things, but even then I think it's cruel. This Micky Mouse trend is awful too, if it's actually a real thing and not just altered photos.

It is sad to think that pet owners would put their pets through this, just so that they will conform to how their owners want them to look. You would like to think that pet owners love their pets and want what is best for them, plastic surgery does not seem like something that would ever be in the best interest of the pet.

Never heard of anything like that but since more people are interested in having pets and also buy expensive things for their pets, it will soon be popular in other countries too

It would be illegal in a lot of countries though. In Australia tail docking and altering the shape of dogs' ears is illegal.

If they can eat dogs and even have festival where they cook dogs, why could not do this? That country really need better civil and animal rights.

It's sad to hear about the extinction of Pink river dolphins in China. The loss of any species due to human activities is a tragic reminder of the impact we have on the environment.

I did not know pet plastic surgery was a thing. If this is happening, I think this should be banned.

Pet plastic surgery seems unnecessary and harmful to the animals involved. Regulations should be put in place to ban pet plastic surgery in order to protect the animals from unnecessary risks and discomfort.

I find this weird and creepy honestly. I feel it does not make sense and it's more like torture to these animals. They can't express themselves doesn't mean it's okay.

Yes, people need to remember that animals cannot consent to these procedures, and it's unfair to put them through unnecessary surgeries for purely cosmetic reasons.
