Don't deal With Carson20t, He's a Scammer?

Postby JASPREET » 06 Dec 2024, 08:34

I have faced similar scams in the past few months and the latest is Carson20t, who took LTC loan from me and never paid back and have stopped answering my whatsapp and calls. He needs to pay me $33 in LTC on 4th Dec but have violated all deadlines and promises.

I just like to make everyone aware to not deal with him.

He has also refused to communicate with me regarding a previous loan he took out from me. I was in negotiation to try to get him to agree to work it back, and he refused to stay in communication. The loan he had agreed to pay back with me, was no small amount, considering his place of residence.

Note: Do not send me FC, if I haven't agreed to do something yet. If you send me FC and I hadn't agreed to do something, consider it as a donation, as I will not pay it back to you. Donations sent without an agreement every single time, are considered as donations. It will not be refundable, if I do not agree to it in each instance.

Thanks!

It's good that such scammers are brought to the fore and highlighted. This will enable others to be alert. Good job @jaspreet.

If a person is active on forumcoin and other forums, it doesn't mean that he won't be a scammer.

Carson20t had been an active member of ForumCoin for 1553 days. He originally joined on August 17, 2020 and his latest post was on November 16, 2024. He left behind 1499 posts and had collected 188 reputation points for a 12.54% reputation score. Based on his content alone, he was generally included as a valued member with a significantly higher reputation score than the overall average. Much of his posted content was favorable about positive site improvements.

For a member of this caliber to to be accused of this action is evidence that no member can be beyond suspicion of deceitful activity. We do not know anything about any member beyond what they choose as a user name and what you might be able to glean from their posted content and site activity. In this case, seems to be very deceiving.

Beware in every transaction. You are always dealing with the anonymity of the Internet. Do not risk what you cannot afford to lose.

This is good reason to use the reputation points to grade advertisers. If you trade with another member and have a satisfactory trade, go back to their ad and give it a positive reputation point. If there is some negative problem with the transaction, please make a point to go back and give the ad a negative reputation point. In every case, please use the provided space to explain your reputation point either way. We can all help each other stay safe by providing a grade point on every transaction.

With a testimonial like this, you should have a referral link that follows ForumCoin rules hanging around somewhere. If nothing else, add one to your profile so the globe shows under your photo.

Thanks for the lengthy explanation, @OldGuy! Indeed, we have to be extra cautious online. Taking things at face value can lead to all sorts of trouble. I remember when I first joined FC, a few members approached me with the request to use my Paypal account to receive their money. As much as I really felt for them and understood their predicament, It had to be a firm no simply because I didn't want any drama that could soon follow.

For incidents like this one, ForumRace decided to implement an Escrow program, and making the Escrow balance available to be seen by anyone. That Escrow balance is locked for a total of 6 months to serve as a warranty for any claim made against such user.

This program will not only benefit ForumRace members, it will also serve to anyone to check against the accountability of such user.

ForumRace and MicroLikes are serving as a scamming prevention tool/ecosystem for all forums in general. Similar as StopForumSpam.com for forums preventing spam, we are focused on the scam aspect.
We are determined to improve all type of forums/communities with our tools. Including APIs for marketplaces to ensure accountability of their users on any forum.

A couple of words to forum owners, don't ever feel ForumRace/MicroLikes/TitansEnterprise are your competitor, we are here to help your forum/community to thrive from multiple angles as much as we can, we want to collaborate with you and we also expect collaboration from your part as well towards our projects.
