Google Maps is also an essential one for me, I use it anytime I'm driving somewhere unfamiliar and I personally find it really helpful. The downside is that when you depend on it, you don't get as good an understanding of where you are going and it doesn't help develop your sense of direction.
I also have a countdown timer on my mobile that I use multiple times per day, it helps me to work in spurts and to not lose track of time.
