Can low voltage power stop laptop from booting?

Postby kat82 » 19 Jul 2025, 06:40

There is something weird. When I attempt booting it appears to start and then suddenly goes off. Other electrical items seem to be working fine though the power seems a bit low than normal. Can this stop machine from powering on?

I don't think so. Laptop's battery tends to be strong and would work normally on the power charged no matter how low or how the voltage runs.

I think it's not from. the laptop maybe the power is too low, and I believe that if you keep forcing to start the system it might bring some problem to the laptop, so I believe it's from the system or power.

Taking it to the mechanic today to find out what exactly is gone wrong.

I've experienced this before, and it can be frustrating. If a machine starts and then suddenly shuts down, it's likely that the power supply isn't up to the required level to run the entire computer system.

Other devices may appear to be working, but a computer requires more consistent power. Try using a stabilizer or UPS to help stabilize the power. Also, make sure that the wires and sockets are not damaged or loose.

I took the laptop to the mechanic and it was pronounced dead. Now am with a single smartphone with the office laptop. Hoping to acquire something addition in the next few months may be next year.

What’s gone is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of a new path. Losing a laptop is a challenge, especially if you rely on it for work or personal projects. But you still have a phone and an office laptop, and that’s a step forward.

Don’t give up. Many have started over with a few devices and have come a long way. Use this time to plan well, find alternatives, and prepare financially for a new device. Even the little you have can make a big difference.

Remember, technology changes but passion and hard work remain. Keep moving forward, do what you can now, and when you get a new device, you’ll be better prepared. Good things come to those who wait with hope.
