RIIZE have been playing with a different sound since they started. Now their EP *Fame* has brought a completely fresh vibe. On their US tour, Anton and Wonbin took up bass and guitar and played the intro of “Get A Guitar” in a blues and funk style. Fans felt a new energy. This has shown that for RIIZE there are no limits: they always try something new.
RIIZE's new EP is titled *Fame* and it has three songs, each of which has its distinct mood.
“Something’s In The Water” carries a trip hop and space pop vibe and the vocals are eerie but also have a touch of R&B. They have stated that they felt like fresh water mixed with a drop of darkness and that mood became intense. Shotaro said the vocals needed to be delicate to show the insecurities in the lyrics.
The second track “FAME” comes with a rage trap vibe showing the struggle and pressure of fame. They have made it clear that they don’t hate fame but want to show that it’s not all about popularity but building an identity and staying real. Sungchan said fame is a recognition of your efforts and not the end of the journey.
“Sticky Like” carries a big pop vibe with powerful vocals that show their fun side. Overall *Fame* is a snapshot of their introspection after *Odyssey*. They call their sound emotional pop because each song is a different story but still holds their feelings.
RIIZE show that fame is part of the journey but their essence is music and connection with fans.
