Germany is now on support of Denmark, and they sent some German soldiers to Greenland right now, so does the United Kingdom and other European countries. US could have peacefully negotiated with the Danish Government and build a few more Military bases in Greenland.
Perhaps Trump wants to avoid "Boots on Ground".

While Iran has suffered a big damage, it has retaliated in unexpected places.
Hitting places in Dubai and Abu Dhabi including airports.
Even one Amazon Data Centre in Dubai!
Surely they have gone crazy!

A lot of airspace in Mid East is closed.
