Home Office 101

Postby Spontaneo » 22 Jun 2022, 00:21

Yes, we all are writers on ForumCoin. But, if you are new to writing, you just may need a little advice. So, consider this Home Office 101:

A computer with WI-FI

Yes, there are still people writing out submissions by hand using a SASE.

Have atleast 3 writing websites

For example, “what if” only “what if”, ForumCoin would close? If it were your only website, what would you do? I keep my options open and write for https://www.weekendnotes.com, vocal.media and also, of course, ForumCoin.

Pen

I use certain “lucky” pens. I consider my landlord’s writing pens good luck!

Paper

I use legal pads instead of notebooks. Find out what makes your writing flow.

Post-it notes

Did you just change passwords? Jot the password down on a post-it note and stick to your bulletin board.

Bulletin board

Keep documents and even photos that you cannot lose.

A lamp

Don’t be hard on your eyes!

A fan for whte noise

For example, I use a real fan. Yes, you can use a fan noise found on YouTube. But I also like the cool air.

A coffee maker station

For example, I keep a coffee station right next to my desk! When I need a break, there it is!

A cellular phone

What if your computer crashes? I go through laptops like they go out of style. Keep a cellular phone for “just in case”.

Do these tips make sense to you? I hope so. All of these tips are not going to put you into debt. Cut corners here and there. For example, for office supplies, I ask Santa for office supplies for Christmas. No joke. If I run out, I shop at Dollar Tree.

For my coffee station, I buy ground coffee from Dollar Tree instead of expensive K-cups.

As for my cellular phone, I have the cheapest plan! $25.00 a month unlimited talk and text and data.

Atleast once a month, organize and clean your writing area. If you have to pitch, pitch. If you have to save, save. Just don’t become a hoarder. My predicament? My roommates always find objects in our house. Guess what they do? They make me place it in my office!

Make your writing area unique.

Thank you for reading my article. I rarely receive many replies.

If you know of a new writer, would you kindly pass these tips on to them?

I find that if I spend as much time reading as I do writing, the words just flow smoother. So along with the three writing websites you suggest we have, I would add a few that seem to have good idea triggers on them, like Beer Money Forum with tons of posts to read.

Working on a New Side-Hustle

Since age is no longer creeping up on me, but rushing in like an NFL ball carrier on 4th down from the 1 yard line. it's very simple.

I submitted this in June! LOL You were the first to even care! Thank you!

I often search on google, for example, for "topics for discussion". I have not done a google topic search in a good while.

As for Beer Money, I really do not like the website. But there has got to be something good about the website as it is so popular and liked.

My favorite part of my home office is my coffee station. My coffee station is kind-of a television/stereo stand with wheels.

On the shelves, I have k-cups set out.

On top, I have a one-cup coffee maker with zero-calorie sweetener, coffee-mate and sugar (which I never use) all set out.

How about you? Do you have a coffee station?

The idea of the ForumCoin website being shut down is something that could shock many looking for a smart online platform in the year 2026. If that happens, you need to have other reliable sources where you can write and get paid professionally.

Leaving your password on a post-it note is very dangerous on the street. Anyone can steal your secrets suddenly. Use a password manager and protect your assets legally so that you don't go bankrupt if things go wrong in the future.

Save up money and buy yourself what you really need.

I bought a new desk in December 2025! Maintenance surprised myself yesterday! They assembled my new desk.

I have a new chair but the desk I had did not fit the new chair. A friend bought myself the new chair.

Now my butt and back do not ache!

If you work from home, a good desk and chair are necessities. Atleast fot myself.

That's good advice. Saving money gives you the freedom to choose what you really need instead of buying unnecessary things. It gives you peace of mind and you know you're spending your energy on something worthwhile. Even if it's just a little, if you get into the habit of saving and then buying something worthwhile, you build discipline and feel like you've made progress.

I have a new essential oil humidifier that does not emit the essential oil scent. The humidifier was a gift. I want for the humidifier to work so bad!

Years ago, I bought an essential oil diffuser and used the diffuser until the device could not work anymore. My favorite scent is rose.

Essential oil devices are wonderful for work. However, the devices can cost alot, so I could never buy a new device.

Natural good smelling sources are best for me. Think about a stand of rose bushes.

Yep. Think of a situation where you have blooming rose bushes just outside your home office window.
