It's a shame you wasted so much time learning only to end up doing something completely unrelated. It's great that you gained knowledge and that you found your path despite everything. Didn't you try being a teacher? Even a private teacher, or an online teacher, you could teach on the internet, be a freelance teacher, and that way you'd put all your studies to good use.
