I have not experienced automatic shut off - probably I did not give it the opportunity to do that.

You can install ebook reader if your smart tv have google play store. Most smart tv's don't have it.

I love watching TV a lot, but now, because of work, I'm unable to do all that. My favourite movies are horror films. I can stay glued for hours. It helps me face my fears and i find it entertaining as well.

Yes. Since my husband passed away, I tend to leave the TV on. Can't seem to fall asleep without it.

My Fire TV is set so that if it's inactive (i.e., the screensaver pops up), it shuts down after about 10 minutes. I set it that way.
