Cabbage is not something that one would want to write home about. It is not in my list of favourites but the health gurus swear by it. I have therefore added it in my diet and this is how
Ingredients
1 small cabbage – heavy and compact
2 onions cut into rings
1 green chili
1 cup curds (yogurt as some call it)
1 tablespoon mustard paste
Salt to marinate
Chopped coriander leaves
Sugar to taste
Method
Grate cabbage fine. Marinate in salt for about an hour. Squeeze out the liquid.
Whip curds adding mustard paste, chopped green chili and sugar. Gently mix onion rings.
Put the stuff in a dish and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves
Your cabbage salad is ready.
Some like it chilled but I don’t. However, I keep the leftovers in the fridge and it tastes good the next day.
Some of you may be expert cooks. You are free to make changes as you deem fit. Do let me know what you want changed and then you must give it a new name. What name will it be?
