I was just on BeerMoneyForum earlier and someone said something along the same lines! I went on Hubpages and was sooooo tempted to just go ahead and join the site. But I wanted to go through all the FAQs first but wow, there's so much to read. I guess I'll take my time reading everything before I bite the bullet.

Just simple rules.
1) Do not copy paste your articles from other sites. You need to write a fresh and new article at hubpages. Otherwise, it will be considered as plagarism.
2) You can post links to Hubpages but one or 2 only.
3) Use your own images, preferably
4) write 700 words per article ( also known as hub)

Oh, okay, I will try it once and check if my earnings improve, thank you!

A great part of my articles don't have 700 words and they are approved. I am now wondering if longer articles help us earn more or if it is the same thing and it will always depend on the views we get.

Hubpages has always believed in longer articles. They believe that you need at least 500-700 words, In fact at one point in time they insisted on 1000 word articles. Actually with that you have a chance of adding more key words and making it SEO.
Also your articles stnd a higher chance of being ported to their niche sites.

I haven't found yet a place to write key words like in Virily for instance. Is there a place to add key words?

I noticed that you can make more in the hubpage than the vocal media. No matter the case may be it is good to work on the two sites that is hubpages and vocal media

This is fantastic! Thanks, peachpurple :) I have to say, 700 words is quite lengthy, far longer than I'm used to but it's doable. I would never dream of copying and pasting on any writing site, anyway. I'm seriously considering joining Hubpages if I don't get this other online gig I'm eyeballing.

You can write less than 700 words, I think only two of my hubs there have more than 700 words, and all have been approved. The only thing I don't know is If 700 words length posts worth more than others.

To be frank, I am neither active on Hubpages nor vocal Media. I stopped writing for Hubpages a long back when I found I couldn't make much money from it. I joined Vocal Media recently, and found that I couldn't make much here either. Now, I am active on Read.Cash. They pay in Bitcoin Cash everyday, which can be converted into USD, and the best thing is that you get points for engaging with other writer.

You will realize that read.cash is not that good earning either. in that comparison i'd vote for the hubpages.

I believe Hubpages can be a good source of income for some users but in my case there are days (most of them) that I earn 0 (zero) and I already have 15 hubs there. I think I am doing something wrong there. :eh:

I think if hubpages is like vocal then you need to post your links in high
traffic places and areas. That is the key to really earning more.
Popular topics posted in popular facebook groups is a good way to get
tons of views and money.

Not much going to work with spam like that. Hubpages requires US and canada based traffic not thailand, philipines based gaming groups.

Traffic and niche. that's what is wrong. if you can't drive traffic it does not matter how many articles you write.

How can I drive traffic to my content? Do I have to share it?

That is so true. But my Vocal articles are about food and I really thought everybody liked food. I was wrong.

I don't understand which content will have more views, there are people there doing quite well with poetry. I thought that wasn't a very good niche.

If you want to make money with adsense find out evergreen niche whcih gets a lot of traffic. for example you could write about any food dish, it wont earn you anything. but lets say you write about dish on eid or thanksgiving. once a year that dish article would get a lot of traffic and make money.

Okay, I will keep that noted down. I noticed that there are some writers there whose content is food and new recipes, and they seem to be doing well.

That's good to know - thanks for your response. I should probably check if that has any bearing on the articles being approved and the earning power of shorter articles. Although from what you're saying, all yours were approved even though only a couple were over 700 words. As long as I'm earning something, I wouldn't be bothered about earning more.
