Teleportation

Postby prometeheus » 02 Jul 2015, 10:35

Teleportation, or Teletransportation, is the theoretical transfer of matter or energy from one point to another without traversing the physical space between them.

Do you think this will be possible one day and readily available to everyone? :)

Imagine you suddenly get the power to teleport. Where do you go first? :?:  :!:

I think we are very far from teleportation. Yes, theoretically it is possible, but in a human body there are so many pieces that is very difficult to do that... Perhaps one day. But we will not see this in our days... :(

I wonder how will that be possible? How can we accomplish that in real life? I know we are made out of tiny particles that are seemingly not connected together at all as per quantum physics.

Maybe or maybe not.

Allius wrote:Yes, theoretically it is possible

How do you say its theoretically? i think there is no way to move an object from one place to another. Unless moved manually.

I agree, but some people have found out how to transfer things using Magnetic Levitation technology, it is capable of reaching speed of 700 km/h +. If it can be used for transportation that would be great, however, the fun of viewing scenery will be gone.

Who knows? Many things that were said to be impossible in the past are now possible. Yet, I don't see it become a thing in a near future.

I think it is possible. However I don't think we are going to see that anytime soon. At least not in our lifetime.
