Is there a way to delete multiple messages?

Postby Lushh » 30 Sep 2021, 12:37

My message folder is 100% full and I can't seem to find a way to select and delete all at once. Each time I have to go into the messages individually and delete like that (one by one). It appears as well that I'm not able to send messages (don't know if there's a connection). For now I'll just do what I know how to but I'd like to know if there's an easier way (delete multiple at once). Thank you.

I think it's "delete marked" and then "mark all" which is listed underneath. Then "go".

I also tried to delete some messages and it was what you are saying exactly you delete one by one and that is so tiring maybe you should try the delete mark and see how that works out.

Thanks ladies! Hadn't you mentioned that "mark all" @sprite1950 I wouldn't have noticed that drop-down menu the bottom. It works, thanks. @chikitta, the delete button is in the drop-down so check next time so you won't tire yourself out. :)

Alternatively, you could not delete them and just let the oldest message get deleted when you receive a new one. If you want to keep any, create a new PM folder, move the PMs you want to keep to that folder and then leave all the messages in the inbox as the ones that you don't mind getting automatically deleted when you get new messages.

Mine usually get put on hold if I don't delete them so I have to delete some to be able to see the new messages. I've never noticed them getting automatically deleted. :?

Strange... the default setting is set to delete oldest messages by default for accounts although maybe that was not the case when you signed up.

Either way, you can change the setting here - ucp.php?i=pm&mode=options

Near the bottom, you will see "If folder is full:" and if you select "Delete oldest messages", it will remove the oldest message each time a new message is received
