Last year I made a discussion about how CGI are able to make older actors young again. I also talked about the hologram concerts of dead singers. Well now a dead actor will be making a full pledge movie. WIth the Permission from his family, James Dean who died 64 years ago is making a comeback. He died at the Age 25 but many people still watches his movies.
His image will be recreated via CGI and his lines will be read via A.I made from his recorded voice. I don't know if A.I have his acting talent though.
Why don't they just use James Franco, he looks exactly like James Deen. This is the first Full length movie that will use dead actors CGI for longer scenes. I think its used in Paul Walker's last movie but his facetime is short. This means many dead celebrities will be making a comeback soon thanks to CGI. Imagine a full length movie of Marilyn Monroe in modern day!
I know dead celebrities had been used for TV commercials before via CGI
This one have lawsuit because Bruce Lee doesn't drink and it has no permission from his family.
James Deen's family I think wants him to make a CGI comeback so younger generations will discover his movies.

I don't think this is good idea. He can be showed in some memory of some other actor but not as live person. Who will know is actor dead or alive anymore? If you don't explore it or you already know, you can watch movie thinking this man is alive.

I think they are going to market the movie as a new movie of a legendary actor who is dead for a long time. The young kids who will watch this new movie with CGI James Deen will be curious on who he is and watch his old movies which will make more money for his family.

I would do this only if all legal descendants agree. I am not sure would all family like see their dead live again on TV. Maybe in all movies or tapes, but not in new movies.

Using dead artist will earn some income for his/ her family; that is good idea; artists will be able to make their family income secure. Technology is developing, let it work.

First look to modern because of filters. It only missing electric ID3. Also on images, Marilyn never had so long flat hair.
Second could pass.

Many dead artists have an estate that is still earning money for their family members.
I'm OK with the CGI stuff but I don't want talented actors and actresses of the later generations to get cheated. They deserve their chance at fame and fortune; and perhaps they can become immortalized through CGI too!

With filters now, we can also have middle aged actors play younger roles. I can see actors having longer careers. I dont think next gen actors will lose gigs with all the tv networks and streaming service there is now.

Yeah. Plus they could also try to get on a Reality TV show. (I hate those shows. )

I didn't know Peter Cushing from Star Wars is resurected with CGI. Movie is from 2016 but actor died in 1994.

This is true. I'm just not sure I am for this. I can see how it can be an incentive to watch his old movies. But if the family gave permission, that's their choice and right to do so.
